Undergraduate university students between the ages of 18 and 25 are eligible to purchase Machu Picchu tickets for students.

How to get the Machu Picchu student ticket

Unversity students can obtain the Machu Picchu student ticket by sending a digital copy or picture of the student ID and presenting the same university ID card at the entrance of Machu Picchu along with your passport .

What types of university ids are accepted to receive the Machu Picchu student discount?

To obtain the Machu Picchu student discount your university id card must have the following 5 characteristics on the front of the card:

• Name of the university
• Student name
• Student photo
• Expiration Date within 1 year of visit <== If this is missing, you must submit an International University ID Card as proof
• Date of birth <== If this is missing, you must submit an electronic copy of your passport

Note: You must provide proof of all 5 characteristics to receive the discount.

What types of proof are NOT accepted to receive the Machu Picchu student discount?

Only undergraduate original university student ID cards are accepted. ISIC cards are accepted as a compliment if the original university ID is missing information. Letters from the university, proof of registration or other types of proof will also NOT be accepted.
