7 Lagoons of Ausangate tour

A full day excursion off the beaten path and adventure, with breathtaking landscapes, mountains, and 7 exotic-colored lagoons (turquoise, blue, green and even reddish) that will blow your mind.

The names of these 7 lagoons are: Male Otorongo, Female Otorongo, Puca cocha, Alqa cocha, Ccomer cocha, Azul cocha and Pata cocha.

You will walk 15 miles round trip. To see all 7 lagoons, you will initially walk 2.5 hours starting at 4200 m.a.s.l. (13,779 ft) and the path will ascend to 4666 m.a.s.l. (15,308 ft) at the highest point.

The return will only take 1.5 hours. You will also learn about Andean flora and fauna (Alpacas, Vizcachas and Condors). At the end of the tour, you can relax on a natural hot spring with medicinal properties before your return back to Cusco.

What Is Included?

• 04h30 Pickup from Hotel

• Tourist entrance ticket 7 lagoons.
• Professional English/Spanish-speaking guide.
• 08h00 Trek to the 7 lagoons: Otorongo Macho, Otorongo Hembra, Puca Cocha, Alqa cocha, Ccomer cocha, Azul cocha and Pata cocha.
• During your visit of the 7 lagoons you will see the following mountains: Ausangate, Mariposa, Jampa, Pucapunta, Caracol, Tinke and the mountain range of Qayangate.
• 14h00 Lunch.
• 15h00 Hot springs (Optional). Or you can visit the community of Pacchanta on your own instead.
• 18h30 Drop off at Cusco main plaza.

What is not included?

• Hot springs (optional): 5 Peruvian Sol entrance fee. Please bring bathing suit and towel.
• Horse Rental (optional): You can rent a horse for 120 Peruvian Sol if you do not want to hike.

This tour requires you to be in good physical condition unless you rent a horse. You must also be very well acclimated. We recommend to star this tour affer your 2nd day in Cusco.
