This transfer is from Cusco to to the hydroelectric train station near Aguas Calientes. It is the most affordable way to get to Machu Picchu from Cusco. We will pick you up from your hotel in Cusco at about 7am. You will stop in Santa Teresa for lunch and arrive at hydroelectric train station by 14:30hrs. You then simply walk on a straight path along the train tracks to get to Aguas Calientes also known as Machu Picchu Pueblo. The walk from hydrolectric train station is about 2 hrs. You can also take the train from Hydroelectric to Aguas Calientes if you prefer not to walk.
There is also a possibility to see the Mandor waterfalls which is on the trail path between Hydroelectric and Machu Picchu Pueblo.

Fitness Requirements

You must be in good physical shape and wear comfortable shoes. Although the trail from Hydroelectric to Aguas Calientes is flat, it is a dirt road with rocks along the train tracks. You must be able to walk for at least 2 to 3 hrs.
